ENVIRONMENT DAY- 05/06/2013

World Environment Day Celebration - Environment Quiz competition was conducted. Protection of the existing plants and trees in the school compound was undertake. Created awareness on the importance of environment protection. Students actively monitored the growth of the plants planted by them during last years ( June 5 2011).

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME 2012-13

The NSS Unit of GVHSS,Ramavarmapuram organized various programmes during 2012-2013 to inculcate values like social commitment, environmental awareness, personality development ,blood donation, tree plantation, campus cleaning etc. With an intention to achieve holistic development of volunteers, the NSS unit has planned many activities. As part of this we conducted awareness programmes seminars, workshops etc.

The activities conducted were carried out under the following categories

5.       Entrepreneurship & Career guidance programmes

Parents Teachers Association

             

        A very active Parent – Teachers Association functioned in the school during 2012-13 under the president ship of the Sri. M S Unnikrishnan. Many programme like Cyber Crime prevention programme, Counselling...etc. were arranged by the PTA. There was active participation of PTA on all the curricular and co curricular development activation of the school.

ACADEMIC / CO – CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

            

        NSS cell in our school received various awards as well as appreciation for the environmental, agricultural and blood donation camp activities. The NSS unit received First prize among various schools for providing maximum number blood donors from IMA. The unit organised a seven day residential camp fro First year students. Anti Drug Day, Gandhijayanthi, Ozone day, Hiroshima Nagasaki Day, Blood Donors Day, Children’s Day, Teachers Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Farmers Day, Environment Day etc. Were celebrated in grand manner. The NSS unit of the school could inculcate discipline, confidence and hard work in the volunteers.

CAREER GUIDANCE & COUNSELING CENTER

                   Career Guidance & Counselling centres functioning in our school organised programmes and activities which result in the career advancement of students. Awareness classes to students to avoid usage of drugs, personality development classes, IT seminars, career enhancement seminar were conducted as part of career guidance and counselling centre. 

PRODUCTION CUM TRAINING CENTER

                                       Diversified products and services were produced under the PTC of different courses in our school. Vermicompost unit, Mushroom production unit, Botanical insecticide production unit were functioning well in our school as part of PP PTC. Ornamental plant seed production, vegetable seed production, Mushroom production, garden layout services were the PTC activities of NMOG. In MRRTV course students produced and sold Electronic choke, Night Lamps as part of PTC. In MRDA course Emergency Lamp, Inverters etc were produced and sold by the students as part of PTC. Servicing of inverters, Emergency Lamp, Electronic Choke Night Lamps were carried out by students of MRRTV & MRDA Courses.
